We’re New Yorkers. We get that satisfying feeling of ripping into a bag of Herr’s. But we don’t usually expect our chips to come with cash.
So reporter Katie Honan was surprised, to say the least, when Adams ally and campaign volunteer Winnie Greco handed her a Herr’s bag of sour cream and onion potato chips that turned out to include a red envelope full of cash.
Yep, chips and cash gifts. You can’t make this up.
Katie tried to return the cash, but Winnie wasn’t having it. Katie immediately alerted our editors. And now, federal investigators are on the case.
